Throughout my studies at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, I gained hands-on experience in graphic design and business administration, which has equipped me with a well-rounded skill set for both design and marketing tasks. In my part-time role at Drop The Gate Apparel, I design custom graphics for apparel and oversee the production process. Additionally, I’m in the process of leading a full website overhaul, ensuring the online user experience aligns with the brand identity. These experiences have allowed me to hone my attention to detail and my ability to work within production deadlines, ensuring high-quality, accurate results.
I believe that I excel in all design-based programs, as I have more than five years of experience with various types of Adobe software. Some of the Adobe programs that I am most comfortable with is Adobe XD, Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop, and After Effects. Additionally, I have roughly three years of experience with prototyping software like Figma and Balsamiq.
With hard work and dedication you can do nearly anything that you set your mind to. One of my core values that I strive to uphold is a phrase I tell myself day in and day out, whether I’m in the gym, in class, or any other situation, that phrase is “Make that goal your north star”. I believe having reasonable, yet far-fetched goals is very important to keep yourself striving for greatness. One of my goals is to obtain employment as a UX Designer for a reputable company, which I believe is a very reasonable goal that isn’t too far out of reach. As for my long-term goal, I would like to obtain a management UX position, which I know I can achieve over time with hard work and dedication. Making it to the top isn’t a matter of if, it’s a matter of when.
